Professional Experience and Accomplishments
Jeromy Rogan was a Project Executive with Morley Builders overseeing a full range of construction services with particular focus on higher education and hospitality projects. Jeromy joined Morley in 2003 as a Senior Project Engineer, and throughout his career earned a reputation for working collaboratively with clients and design professionals to build innovative architecture that maintains strict budgets, schedules, and high-quality standards. His collaboration was marked by skilled communication and a thoughtful appreciation of clients, designers, and other stakeholders’ perspectives and goals. Jeromy’s background in architecture and construction afforded him technical expertise that extended from building structure to MEP+F to exterior envelope systems.
His career highlights include:
- The Santa Monica Big Blue Bus Facility Expansion & Access Center, a design-build project that was awarded the American Public Works Association Project of the Year.
- The Shore Hotel in Santa Monica, awarded the LA Business Journal’s Best Hospitality Project.
- The Ace Hotel/United Artist Theater Building in Los Angeles, an adaptive reuse project that received both the LA Business Journal’s Best Hospitality Project award and an AIA Los Angeles Design Award.
- El Centro Apartments and Bungalows in Hollywood.
- UC Riverside Dundee Residence Halls and Glasgow Dining Facility, awarded Best Architecture by the Student Housing Business Innovator Awards.
- UC Riverside North District Phase 1, which received both the Best New Development award from the Student Housing Business Innovator Awards and the USGBC LEED Homes Outstanding Multifamily Project Award.
Jeromy earned a B.A. and M.Arch I from UCLA and an Executive Certificate from UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management. He was a California registered architect and held a Class B contractor’s license. He was a member of the UCLA Alumni Association Bruin Professionals, the AIA Long Beach/South Bay Board of Directors, and was active in volunteering with the LA Conservancy, Palos Verdes Land Conservancy, and the Greater Los Angeles Area Council of the BSA.
About Jeromy Personally
Jeromy Rogan was a respected construction executive, architect and leader whose life was defined by professional excellence and a profound dedication to his family and community. He shared a special bond with his grandfather who introduced him at a young age to the world of construction and taught him the value of craftsmanship. Jeromy would go on to earn both his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Architecture degrees from UCLA, choosing a path in construction, where he earned a reputation for collaboration, technical expertise and fostering an environment of learning.
Known for his tenacity and unwavering support for his family, friends and colleagues, Jeromy was instrumental in mentoring young project engineers at Morley, design students at South Bay universities and the scouts in his son’s troop, actively creating opportunities for learning and always leading by example. As a lifelong learner himself, Jeromy sought out knowledge and personal growth, driven by curiosity and self-improvement. He took up surfing later in life, taught himself to play the guitar and bravely performed at open mic nights. Most of all, Jeromy was passionate about building, at many levels. Like his grandfather before him, he pursued woodworking as a hobby and along with his wife used his home as a laboratory to test out his craft, leaving behind a wealth of projects that embody his commitment to craftsmanship and learning.
