Kids Draw Architecture
Sketching is a fun way for children to focus and see things previously unnoticed in the built environment, and to better understand the various aspects of architecture, such as functionality and artistry.
Architects know the value of sketching. Drawing affects how the brain compartmentalizes and disseminates information — it creates a shift in thought, opens the mind to new ideas, and connects how a building sits within its environment.
AIA Long Beach / South Bay has been holding a Kids Draw Architecture event every fall since 2017!
